Why Value's Edge
Cut through the noise. Find the signal. Intelligence for serious VBC leaders.
As a senior executive, one of my greatest ongoing challenges was finding time to stay current on high-quality information about the healthcare industry. There is no shortage of content โ but signal is routinely buried in noise. The real challenge isn't access to information; it's filtering for what actually matters. The goal of Value's Edge is simple: lower the water level so healthcare leaders can see and act on the signals that drive better decisions.
Value's Edge was built to create a Value Community โ a name chosen deliberately. I firmly believe that creating value gives any organization a durable edge in the market. That organization might be a solo physician, a medical group, a health system, a payor, or an employer. Essentially any stakeholder that participates in the healthcare value chain. We will be exploring that value chain in depth as the platform evolves.
One important distinction: Value's Edge is not strictly about Value-Based Care (VBC). While the platform skews heavily toward VBC content early on, I believe value is produced by an operating model โ the work done and services delivered โ not by a business model, which is simply how you get paid. The labels "VBC" and "population health" have become shorthand for payment models, which conflates how care is financed with whether it actually creates value. That conflation is worth challenging, and we will.

Please explore the platform and share your feedback โ what works, what doesn't, what you'd like to see. Value's Edge is designed to be an affordable ($10/month) community that encourages rigorous, respectful discussion as we work together to create more value in healthcare. Thank you for being here.
